If you live in D.C., you can now get your Best Buy purchases delivered to your door the same day you click “order.”
The company announced Wednesday that it’s expanding its test of same-day delivery service to other major markets across the United States — and D.C. is on that list.
The pilot delivery program started in San Francisco last fall and expanded to New York earlier this year. Since then, 11 other major metro markets have been added.
The same-day delivery initiative is part of “Best Buy’s ongoing commitment to improving the in-store and online shopping experience,” according to a press release.
Best Buy is partnered with the California-based same-day delivery company Deliv. If you have a zip code in an eligible market, select same-day delivery under “Expedited Shipping” when choosing a shipping option on BestBuy.com, and a Deliv driver will bring your order right to your door.
Prices vary, with an average cost of $10 to $20 per order. Same-day delivery for printer ink is currently free.
Online orders must be placed by 3 p.m. and will be delivered by 9 p.m. that day. Deliv does not provide the service on Sundays or for items weighing more than 50 pounds.
